Viburnum, Carnations & Ranunculi, oh my!

Did we mention that we love spring? And flowers? We really love flowers. And food, but that's another story. So when we stopped at the local store and saw these viburnum, carnations and ranunculi hanging out together in their glorious muted pink and green tones, we felt a creative moment coming on.

We cut them short so that they are just peeking abouve the rim of a low vase with a narrow opening. We started with the carnations, then filled the gaps with the ranunculi and viburnum blossoms. Hydrangeas would work well instead of viburnum if you can't find them.

Remember to change the water every few days and re-cut them if they start to look tired. Happy Spring!
