About Us

Welcome! Our names are Kirsty and Donata, Dutch/British and German/American respectively. We met in Westfield, NJ, but Donata and her family have since moved to Berlin, Germany. We are friends with a passion for food and cooking, and our mutual love for entertaining  inspired us to start gather & be. We love to host drinks, dinner parties, brunches, wine and cheese evenings, you name it, we are the first to offer up our homes and our pantries for guests. You see, entertaining doesn’t need to be strenuous and nerve-racking, it can be fun, inspiring and rewarding. We would love to share that with you!
