This Beef And Broccoli Stir Fry is just the thing when you have friends coming over for a casual dinner and you’re kind of tired and actually just want to order take out... We’re here to tell you: make this instead! Save yourself the wait, the expense and the morning after salt bloat. The thinly shaved beef makes for an extra speedy stir fry. You can pull this together in 10 minutes tops if you already have prepared rice, 20 minutes if you throw making the rice in there. Any kind of Asian noodles would also go well with this as a substitute for rice.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
3 cups frozen broccoli florets
1 pound shaved beef steak
1 finely chopped shallot
1 clove garlic minced
1 tbsp avocado oil
1/3 tsp salt
1/2 cup coconut aminos
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
4 cups cooked rice, either made with or reheated with 2 tsp ghee or butter
Optional: Harissa and cilantro leaves as garnish
Heat a tablespoon of avocado oil in a wok or a deep pan on medium heat. Put the chopped shallots and minced garlic in the pan and sauté until soft and translucent. Add shaved beef steak and salt and stir fry until barely done. Add coconut aminos and broccoli. Sauté until broccoli is done, about 5 minutes. Add sesame seeds.
Serve spooned around the rice with a dollop of harissa for some heat and a cilantro leaf.
If you don’t have coconut aminos on hand, mix 1/4 cup of light soy sauce with 1/4 cup of water as a substitute.
