Cheese Stuffed Pull-Apart Garlic Bread

Updated: Feb 4, 2021

Ready made pizza dough is stuffed with cheese and dunked in garlic butter, for an appetizer that you'll find hard not to keep to yourself!

It’s Football season (for our European friends we’re talking 🏈 not ⚽️!) which mean Sunday and Monday nights are another excuse to get some good #eats on the table. For these occasions, we like food that doesn’t require a fork, just clean fingers and a stack of cocktail napkins. This Cheese Stuffed Pull-Apart Garlic Bread is just the ticket! xoxo Kirsty

Ingredients

  • 1 batch of ready made pizza dough

  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons/ 113g) salted butter, melted

  • 1 large clove of garlic, crushed

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 4 mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into cubes, or 1 ball of mozzarella, cut into cubes

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Melt the butter and brush a small cast iron skillet or baking dish (8 inch/ 20cm) with it.

Combine the remaining melted butter with the garlic, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Roll the pizza dough into a log and cut it into 20-24 pieces. Flatten a piece of dough and place a mozzarella cube in the middle. Pinch together the dough to form a ball shape around the cheese and dunk it in the garlic butter. Place in the skillet or baking dish. Continue with the remaining dough until the skillet is full. Save the leftover garlic butter for later. The dough will expand when it bakes so it doesn’t matter if they don’t seem tightly packed.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown. Brush the top with any remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with parsley and serve to hungry fans!
